How Likely Would You Be...

To donate items or money to an animal rescue?

I will make a poll. If you could copy and paste and answer these questions as well that would be SUPER!

If you did donate, what would you prefer to have in return for it? A notable mention on the rescues website? A thank you letter or email? A Christmas card sent every year? etc etc.

What kind of organization would you be most likely to donate to? One restricted to horses, or a rescue also dealing with a variety of other animals in need of help?

Would you ever consider lending a helping hand volunteering or even housing some animals that the rescue farm does not have room for?

Would you link this rescue to your own personal website or spread the news by word of mouth?

Would you be more likely to donate to a site that has many pictures and stories of the rescued animals than one that does not?

Thanks guys!

Yes, I would donate supplies.

And I have. I used to volunteer at the local Humane Society, so I donated my time as well as things like food and other supplies. I plan to in the future as well.

What kind of organization would you be most likely to donate to? One restricted to horses, or a rescue also dealing with a variety of other animals in need of help? Either, depending on the track records/mission statement of the rescue. I have donated to both.

Would you ever consider lending a helping hand volunteering or even housing some animals that the rescue farm does not have room for? Yes and Yes!

Would you link this rescue to your own personal website or spread the news by word of mouth? Most definately

Would you be more likely to donate to a site that has many pictures and stories of the rescued animals than one that does not? I think pictures and stories really do help raise awareness and make people feel more "connected" to the rescues goals.

I would and have donated both.

If you did donate, what would you prefer to have in return for it? I would appreciate a thank you card, and maybe some info on how everyhting is going at that rescue every now and then.

What kind of organization would you be most likely to donate to? I have donated to ones restriced to horses, ones with horses along with a variaty of other animals, and ones iwth animals but no horses.

Would you ever consider lending a helping hand volunteering or even housing some animals that the rescue farm does not have room for? At the shelter I volunteer at I have fostered and adopted many animals. I would do the same for any other rescue.

Would you link this rescue to your own personal website or spread the news by word of mouth? Of course I would. Anything to help out a rescue with animals in need of homes!

Would you be more likely to donate to a site that has many pictures and stories of the rescued animals than one that does not? Chances are I would donate to either site. But I must admit that pics and storys are a plus. When I actually see it, it just seems to get a little deeper into my heart than when you can't see it.

I have donated both supplies and money to multiple rescues, and I like to keep updated on what's going on around the rescue, etc.

What kind of organization would you be most likely to donate to? One restricted to horses, or a rescue also dealing with a variety of other animals in need of help?

I don't think it would matter to me if they had other animals or not, an animal in need, is an animal in need.

Would you ever consider lending a helping hand volunteering or even housing some animals that the rescue farm does not have room for?

I do volunteer at a local rescue and we do much of the hauling for them as well. We adopted a horse from the rescue, and they always know we have room for one more if they need it.

Would you link this rescue to your own personal website or spread the news by word of mouth?

BOTH

Would you be more likely to donate to a site that has many pictures and stories of the rescued animals than one that does not?

While I LOVE looking at the pictures I wouldn't care if they had pictures or not, as long as they are legitimate and are truly helping the horses.

Im a little weary about donating money unless Im very familiar with the rescue. I'd happily donate supplies.

I have donated a LOT to the Great Dane rescue in texas before we moved.

We found our BEST dog ever through the rescue, and I have to say...even if we didn't, it's still a cause near and dear to my heart. Before we moved, I decided that it was more expensive to move a lot of our stuff, than to simply sell/donate it. I ended up sending *multiple* truck loads of stuff to the rescue to sell in their fundraising garage sale efforts. They got some *great* stuff! (and I hear that it made a HUGE dent in the costs of taking care of all the sick/injured doggies on the roster)

I did get a receipt for the donation, and I think that's all I really need. Any other recognition would be fine, of course - but it does my heart good to know that I was able to help out a very active, organized and effective rescue organization.

Now that we're in a different state (with no serious great dane rescue nearby) I'm looking for a new rescue group to get involved with. It doesn't seem like there are any serious horse rescues around here either.

Probably a good thing, all things considered. My new adoptee is sucking my discretionary fund *dry*, as it is! (LOL)

My company donates supplies (our products) in exchange for links from the group's website. A good quality link to my site can impact my search engine ranking, which impacts sales- so theoretically it's a mutual benefit.
