If you did donate, what would you prefer to have in return for it? A notable mention on the rescues website? A thank you letter or email? A Christmas card sent every year? etc etc.I wouldn't need any kind of recognition but I would like to see how my money helped what animals.

What kind of organization would you be most likely to donate to? One restricted to horses, or a rescue also dealing with a variety of other animals in need of help? I've donated time, money and supplies to both

Would you ever consider lending a helping hand volunteering or even housing some animals that the rescue farm does not have room for?Yes I have and yes I'd love to.

Would you link this rescue to your own personal website or spread the news by word of mouth? Both

Would you be more likely to donate to a site that has many pictures and stories of the rescued animals than one that does not? It's easier to donate if I can SEE what is going on. Even better.....I'd rather visit the shelter

I would prefer to donate money as supplies, because everyone likes money the origanization could pick out which was best for what they needed the worst easier with money. I would prefer a Christmas Card every year to remind me to keep on giving. And I think that success stories with pictures would be the best it shows the readers and donaters how much a little can go a long way's.

I have donated both money and supplies. I have gotten my dog through wonderful people that posted on that rescues message board. She was dumped at the pound by her previous abusive owner, and I have also gotten one of my horses through that rescue, he was at the feedlot.
I like that they send updates of the horses they still have, plus you can keep track of rescued horses on their website. It gets updated whenever the owner sends in news.
I would love to donate my time as well, just don't have enough of that right now.

If you did donate, what would you prefer to have in return for it?

I want WELL CARED FOR ANIMALS. Nothing more, Nothing Less

What kind of organization would you be most likely to donate to? One restricted to horses, or a rescue also dealing with a variety of other animals in need of help?

Doesn't matter the rescue, I'm not picky on the animals, I AM picky about the people running it.

Would you ever consider lending a helping hand volunteering or even housing some animals that the rescue farm does not have room for?

Yes, I'm a member with LSER and working on helping the local rescue here, as soon as I get more info about them.

Would you link this rescue to your own personal website or spread the news by word of mouth?

LSER, Yes.

Would you be more likely to donate to a site that has many pictures and stories of the rescued animals than one that does not?

Website doesn't matter to me. I have ran across too many "GREAT" Websites with CRAPPY owners running it. No one TRUELY knows the stories unless you are directly working with the group to see the results. I can post a pic of my horse, tell you his "story" that I made up and how wonderful he is coming around.

Which is why I would prefer a certification of rescues, since there are people out there that have tainted the "giving hearts" and not used the money for the right reasons.
