How do you do it???

I gave my horse a nice bathing 2 days ago with shampoo and everything. He was squeaky clean and all nice and shiny. Once he was dry I put him out to pasture but walked him over to where there is grass so he would avoid rolling in mudd. I come back 5 minutes later and he is CAKED in mud!!! I understand that they need to roll to keep the flies away but I had almost drenched him in fly spray which works 50 x better than mud and now with the mud all over him the spray doesn't work anymore. Seriously, someone needs to invent horse bubble wrap or something. No way am I keeping my horse inside just because he's clean... that's pretty cruel IMO I only do it before clinics and shows. He enjoys it wayyy more outside. But is there some kind of spray somewhere that repels all dirt from his coat? lmao... It's so rainy and muddy lately! And there is soooo much lovely grass to go roll in he just had to go in the tiny patch of mudd...

Well - if you want an honest opinun. Don't put him outsida while he is wet, wet = roll. He did it because he was itchy, and wet lol. Wait for him to dry off.

Do I really own the ONLY horse who doesn't like getting dirty? Even when she rolls she magically stays sparkling clean and I love it Half the time even at SHOWS I only brush off the saddle area because she stays so clean.

Here's a pic of her with no bath and only a very light, basic grooming:

LOL That is why I turn mine in the arena or the barn first so they can get the roll done... then put them out where the mud is.

LOL I never kept mine in... The fly sheet was my daughters thing. I was really blessed that he liked to stay clean and never faded. Had to put sunscreen on his nose thought.
