i know its hard but in a book, this trainer let the horse rear once and on the second time, she kept the horse up using her weight, seat, reins, etc until the horse couldnt stand it. and have you heard of the e-something tap? |

Oh, and on your horse, SCORE SCORE SCORE!!! I cannot emphasize that enough. While circling is good, to keep it from happening in the first place you cannot score a rope horse enough. Our starters get 1 run for every 6 scores. They never anticipate the chute that way. | |

| Senior Member+ | ROTFLOL!!! Well, I guess you and Tex don't do very well at your shows, do you then? In roping, when you score a horse, you do not leave the box when the calf/steer is released from the chute. You enter the box, turn and position your horse and then relax on them and nod for the calf/steer. He is supposed to stand and watch the calf/steer leave without moving. You are teaching him that he DOES NOT GO to the motion/sound of the calf/steer taking off, he goes ONLY on YOUR command. Thus, the horse does not anticipate the run and start getting antsy and having problems like the one Ropin described. Now, I HAVE to load up for Kansas. I'm delivering a horse I sold!!! |

Since HGS is PG-13, I'm not responding. I did text you however Okay, I know what you are talking about now, I just didn't know what it was called. You sure that is a universal term, and not just Hillbillian?I swear, we get off topic all the time. Back on topic: Make him go FORWARD!!!!
