How do you clean A mares teats?

I know I should know this, but I don't, So can anyone give me some advice?

i use warm water, and a sponge or soft cloth with antibacterial soap to clean my mare. it works just fine.

I just gently rub the stuff off about every week or so...then they don't get too bad. If they are really dirty you could wash her with some warm water and a soft cloth.

Ya, she is 7!!!!!!!!! and has NEVER (from what I know of) had them cleaned.

also, her not having this done ever, she tryes to kick me (lifting her back foot) and stuff. WHat should I do about that?

I use a sheath cleaner and rag, its helps get into that gunk. I have to do Kristay weekly.. sometimes more.. because when she rolls, she kicks dirt right up in there.

She gets so itchy she always wants me to clean/scratch her teats.. and she gets that "ohhh thats the spot" look when I do.

Have someone hold up her opposite back leg.. or the front leg on that side.

I probably just tickles so much.. Kristay used until.. of course now she loves it.
