It gives you directions right on the bottle, If i remember correctly as i only looked at the bottle in the store (havent bought it yet) you are supposed to apply it to a clean dry tail at the roots, braid and put in a tail bag, and for best results to apply every 5 days. i dont think you need gloves as it said the stuff was non toxic, but i would wear some anyways cause i wouldnt want it all over my hands as ive heard the stuff smells pretty bad.

personally I bathe the tail rinse it really well, use the tip to get the MTG as close to the roots as possible, i then use my finger tips to work it in really well. wash hands and give pony a hug for standing so quietly

MTG is great stuff, but you have to be careful with it.

All i do is work it into the roots of the tail.

Yeah, it smells like..... Burnt rubber?
Stinky stuff. But its not toxic or anything.
But it can burn your horse, if you put it on and just leave them out in the sun all day. That stuff is made out of like an oil or something that attracts heat.

umm... not really... just make sure you wash it out once in a while. Cuz it will dry it out and probably make him/her itchy, defeating the purpose. And keep it off her coat. Just use little at a time.
