You probably won't want to look at the pictures at the bottom of the page. The worst pictur, IMO, is on the PETA report link. So, just be forewarned. This actually isn't that far from me, yet I'd never heard about it. horse neglect |

I literally feel sick to my stomach right now. You better believe that I am writing this *Honarable* Judge, saved the article in my spot and the letter will be written. He is def sending teh wrong message to horse owners, no, animal owners, everywhere that they can get away with treating any animal like this. Too see the pics of him before at the Congress and then after, OMG. And the GAVE her 6 of them back, what is wrong with these people????

The Not-so-Honorable John Wesley Jones Sumner County General Sessions Court Judge 117 W Smith St. Gallatin, TN 37066 Mr. Jones: I am quite frankly appalled at your decision to not punish Melinda Stone to the fullest extent of the law. Have you no heart at all? Ok, forget about heart, how about good old-fashioned morality and humanity. How can you have viewed pictures of animals that were starved to death and not thrown that woman in jail? Why should she receive mercy when those defenseless animals probably stood in their fields and their stalls day in and day out begging for their very lives only to have a deaf ear turned to their horrific plight? You returned animals to her? She should have every animal on her property as well as any children in her care summarily removed. If there is any justice in this world, may she experience 1/10 of the pain she put those animals through and may it be on your head when she does it again to animals or next time a child. How do you look in the mirror and live with what you’ve done? |

I'm not sure about this, but I was talking to someone else, and they said that her farm is back off the road and not in town at all. I don't think that there are any roads at all going by her pastures. I'm not really sure how anyone ever saw it. I also wonder how that got that many dead horses moved in that amount of time.

I actually cried. I sat and looked at those photos for 30 minutes and cried. I don't show so I don't know who this Melinda person is and that is probably a very good thing(for her sake). Conclusive Dare...what a beautiful animal. I cannot comprehend or even begin to understand people like that. The Law protects the guilty and hurts the innocent more times than not. I am a firm believer in "what comes around, goes around" and she will get hers. I just hope I hear about it. flaming_

Where did this happen again? Unless she can prove that the horse had epm or something to that sort, she should rot in jail for a good while, and be marked to never own an animal again in her life!!!!
