Have you ever tried using a straw whisp? You just bang the horse with it aand it gets circulation going and improves shine . Sorry i dont know how to describe it better.

I'd really recommend a good vaccuum! They really pull out all the dirt well and get the oils going in the skin!

Yup.. Everyone is right on here! Great advice given.
To sum up what everyone else has been saying, to give your horse a shiney coat:

* Your horse needs to be HEALTHY ( Properly maintained)
* Your horse needs plenty of long grooming sessions!
* Your horse should be rugged when necessary with correct rugs
* A shampoo helps if you really need that shine for a show or something.
* There are plenty of products out there that can be fed to your horse such as Black Oil and sun flower seeds.

And may I add a trick that i know. I haven't used it, but I do know someone who does. Heaps and heaps of eggs!!

lol. Hope this helps. Welldone everyone for ur great ideas.

Yours sincerly

I agree, BOSS really works well. Helped my bodyclipped horses coat come back beautifully.

i put my horse on sun flower seeds. i just started. i only put in a 1/2 cup in the morning and at night. this helps keep their coat shinny and from fading out in the summer time. i put a 40 pund bag at the farm and fleat store for only $13 and it last for about 4 months

plus lots of elbow grease!!

Linseed and linseed oil does wonders for the coat. It has to be crushed or boiled.
