A lot of people may disagree with me, and i'm not here to start an argument, but a shiny coat is health! If you have a very healthy horse, which is maintained well *( Grooming, feeding, turning out, riding, etc...)* Your horse will have a shiny coat. Sure, there are special "products" that you can feed to your horse, but my trick is, health. Look at one of my boys. This is George. No products are used on him. He is just healthy. My other 2 are just the same.

Hope this helps. I'm not in any way saying your horse isn't healthy though. I'm sure he is healthy as can be! If your horse just won't get this shine ( which he should anyway) there are a few products out there.

Hope this helps.

Yours sincerly

Your right on Hayley!

No shine product can replace good health and grooming!
They shine from the inside out with those..

But , for a lil help, hand me the Pepis!

That's what i do!!!! Everyone is always telling me how soft and shiney my horses coat is in the winter even! I give him about 1/8 to 1/4 cup of veg. or corn oil a day in the spring!
Hope this helps,

GROOM LIKE MAD!

And I dont mean a lil touch up with the curry comb and stiff brush I mean you spend 20 mins currying him 20 mins taking ALL the dust off him with the stiff brish and 20 mins brushing his coat with the soft brush.

I never EVER used to groom Scotch right it would be this swipe then I was done and I never understood why he didnt have a glossy coat... Once I got older and relised what I was doing wrong I fixed it and now he SHINES!

And after a grooming you can use that cool easy slick (I think thats what its called) and that works

Dry shampoo works great for tough stains!

Our show horses have a beautiful shine all year long. They are blanketed, wear hoods, are brushed daily, ridden almost 7 days a week, and are feed QUALITY hay.
