I like to make a mixture of babyoil, water, and conditioner to make show sheen.

Some of our horses were just switched to a different feed called Pro Elite and they have the prettiest coats in the barn! They all get groomed, but the ones on this new feed have the prettiest coats ever.

We usually feed our horses their grain with flax seed and some corn oil. It really seems to work. You could also try show sheen, but I'd say the best thing is a lot of good grooming! Hope this helps!

I also agree with the feeding of BOSS or Black Oil Sunflower seeds, they are extremely good for your horse and the improvement to your horses haircoat is quite noticible. Very shiny and Rich in color. I feed about 1C twice a day to both my mares.

My horse gets rice bran and it has a lot of vitamin E in it, which is great for skin and coat. I also use the Slick & Easy stone and finish off with Vetrolin coat conditioner. I like the vetrolin a LOT better than show sheen. It makes the horse soft, repels dirt, prevents sun bleaching, doesn't make the hair slippery, AND it smells good.
