I just got an e-mail from the owner of this stallion, Jessa Spectacle. I e-mailed back with more questions and for better pictures, but he seems better than the APHA stud so far. He is in the town where I showed Cleo last. About an hour away, if your pulling a horse, that is. I am going to go see him too. I might just skip the APHA all together! Anyone know anything about his breeding? What do you Appy people think? This is what she said: Hello, from Meadow Lane Farm I am forwarding a letter that I wrote to another interested party, it tells you a bit about my stallion and there is a picture attached. Please take a look at him, and if you are interested, email me back. I have a stallion contract, and his stud fee, for LCFG, is $650.00, live cover only, and mare care is 12.00 per day. Thanks for you consideration of this fine stallion, Jane Stock, Meadow Lane Farm, Chichester, NH... ----- Original Message ----- Sent: Friday, November 26, 2004 3:20 PM Subject: Emailing: EQ Journal Ad This is a picture of my stallion Jessa Spectacle. I raised him since I took the sack off his face. His mother was a 16.1hh GOER grandaughter, and is father was son of Goer...he's 7 y/o. We quallified for the worlds in 2002...I'm showing him again this year, so I get the 4 more points in Hunter in Hand, and 6 more points in Aged Stallions so he'll have his ROM's in both. He only has 1 baby on the ground, I sold that baby last year at 6 months for 5000.00!!! That is a wicked good price for a baby around here...And the new owner took him out this year and he won everything she took him in. I only bred one of my mares this year for a May baby...I'll breed back the other mare probably in April....even March babies are hard to raise if we have a bad winter...I'll just have to deal with it. I refuse to have a baby unless I am pretty sure that I have a buyer....the baby that was out being shown caused a pretty good stir, and I have had calls asking if I had any more...hopefully this one will sell right off...unless it is a buckskin...then it will be staying here for a while and I'll show it.....Jane

Well since they did not give any sire and dam information other than BOTH are related to Goer it is hard to say on the pedigree. I'd need more info on the pedigree as he is not listed on the all breed site or the appaloosa pedigree site. As for the rest of him, it seems that he is a snowcap so he is most likely homozygous for color and you would at least get a characteristic foal from a solid mare.

From the look of him, he is a nice stud. He looks and sounds as he has great conformation AND a good solid mind. I would go see him AND go talk to her, she seems like a decient horse person to get to be friends with around the area for shows and such!!!

OH yes since this horse is related to Goer, He AND the foals he produces ARE also eligible for the Colorado Rangerbred association.

That is so cool! I want a part of history in my pasture! Maybe he can be Dolly's permanent husband, depending on how the foal looks. Now, to go see him and work on my husband about this "Investment"!
