Hot Texas is not going to be so Hot!!

Well I caught the news tonight for a change and glad I did or maybe not!! We have a big cold front moving in on New Year's Eve, it is supposed to go from the 70's to the 20's overnight. Now I have not been in 20 degree weather since around 1992. I am going to freeze. I am calling the hay guy tomorrow to go pick up some extra hay and I need to buy one blanket for our 3 year old, but omg...I am going to freeze.

For the last week we have had cold. Normally we would be looking for the A/C but instead we are into the winter woolies. It is crazy.

In south TX, near Corpus Christi, about 2.5 hours from Mexico. We hardly get below 40 and even that is not common in the winter. Usually our winters are usually 65 to 70. I am just not used to the cold anymore and now it will be hard, and my poor horses have no woolies to keep them warm, look....this is a winter coat for our horses.

Yah, we have a storm they say is gonna hit us for the next three days. We havent even hit zero yet this year. But they say were gonna get down to 8* I think tonight. We have been hanging in the 30* area. But when the sun is out it seems warmer. So bring on the snow, I hope we really get dumped on.

Well, our weather report said cold but not that bad....highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's. It was 27 the other morning when I went out to feed the baby goat at 6:30.

Cminor-You are getting the stuff we are just now getting rid of. It was COLD right after Christmas and I didn't leave the house until 9:30 yesterday morning until it reached 25. We are used to the 60 degree weather as well. I moved to AZ from Montana to get out of the cold!!
