Horses/Ponies for Adoption in West Tennessee! From Companion to Kid Broke!

We have several horses that need placement ASAP. Adoption fees are from $75 to $600 depending on the horse. We have 3 that we got in a few days ago that were all registered quarter horses. The papers have been pulled by former owners and you will not be able to get them. One is a mare that is built as good as you can find but due to an old injury she has a club foot. I'm not sure if you could ever trim it to get it in better condition or not but she is going as is with no guarantees and is a companion only. She get around fine in pasture. She is halter broke and likes attention. There is also a 2 year old with a crooked knee. She is not broke at all but with proper training she would be suitable for light riding on trails. And last but not least there is a yearling filly that is HYPP N/H. She will go to a home with lots of horse experience only and preferably some one with experience with HYPP horses. She does not show sign of HYPP to my knowledge. She will be suitable for light riding but probably not for hard competition where she will be put under a lot of stress. Adoption fee for each of these is $75 as they are going as companion only at this time. We also have other horses that are broke to ride with fees from $300-$600. Some kid broke. All gentle. We have apps, paints, solids, gaited and quarter type. Western/English/Barrels/Poles/Jumping/Sh ow/Halter/4-H. Sorry we do not have and can not get photos at this time but we can show horses nearly anytime that is good for you. Call 901-476-1898 Rose or 901-581-3316 Susan. Leave message if no answer and we will call you back as soon as possible.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say. We are not affilated with any organization, nor do we receive any tax breaks or grants from the government or anywhere else for that matter. We spend our own money to help these horses and do not except any donations other than the adoption fees. You will be required to sign a contract and must have references including vet. We started out with one rescue horse and now it seems that everyone needs us to take in a horse they can no longer care for. If you can use another horse and are near us then please check out what we have. We can't take in anymore until some of these find their new homes.

I know how it is. I am in the same boat as you are....as most of the rescues are. Nobody is adopting right now, and everyone is calling for me to take in their horse. I am full also, and cannot take on anymore. At this point, I am even offering some of the horses for free, with a contract, and still no one is adopting.

Good luck finding homes for the ones you have. I am in the southeasterm part of Kansas, so if anyone in my vicinity is looking for that special horse, I too have everything from companion to child safe! Pm me and I'll see if I have what you are looking for.

I live in west tennessee, and i'm looking to get my first horse. I know a couple of people who have gotten rescue horses, and I think that's the way to go. I'm not sure how to start, but i think that i'd like to get a rescue horse myself. if anyone knows someone in west tennessee that does this, please let me know.
