Agreed. Prices have dropped and many of these places are high on their fees. I'm sure they are just trying to cover their costs and make sure that people can take care of the horses they adopt.
About a year ago a woman came through with a trailer load of PMU foals. She was basically giving them away to homes that could care for them. There are just too many out there.

From what I understand she is halter trained but has had no under saddle training. She is also one of the horses that has always caught my eye every time I look at the site! She is built very nice and would love to see her be adopted. She is located in Manitoba Canada but can be shipped for a very little fee. Let me know if you would like to know more and I can do my best to find out for you.

Danielle

I'm gonna cross post this in both your post but I'd love to say we have had 2 very awsome PMU rescues.

One mare who was preggy at the time and a PMU colt. Both were awsome horses.

The mare I'm refering to was Patches which many of you on this forum should know about. She's now 18 and is fat and happy and a very quite trail horse. we couldn't have asked for a better horse. We paid almost 1000 for her and she was shipped from Canada to us here in PA. She only halter broke and wasn't even REALLY halter broke but look at her now. Blaze wasn't even halterbroke but he learned quick and was being ridden in no time he was are big teddy bear.

I'm glade we saved them to I mean ya we payed a bit more but she would have ended up at slaugher and her babie sometime as well. I'd do it all over agian to.

I can't remember who we went thru I know Another Chance was the one who helped us get them here but I think they were working with someone can't remember if it was United Pegasus or not.

Just thought I'd post pics of all are pretty PMU babies and Patches hehe.

The colt called Blaze and Patch's babie called Jessie were sold after we broke them. They went on to new homes and a better life.
