Horses in need of homes ASAP

I am starting my own rescue (not 501c3 non-profit yet), and work with a non-profit rescue also. We are getting in 16 horses, some that will stay awhile due to being really skinny or having health issues, and some that need to go to homes right away. There are six that will need homes right away, they are Mustang/Quarter crosses, I will have pictures in a day or two of all of them, if anyone wishes to see pictures and are interested in giving these horses homes. 3 of the 6 were broke to ride, but not ridden for a couple of years, 3 have yet to be broke to ride. The age range is 3 yrs to 13 yrs, so they are fairly young yet and have many more good years to give to someone.

I know it is a lot to ask in this market of horses that we have, but I cannot see them go to an auction just because they could not find homes (we are not sending them to an auction, the owner of these horses is threatening to send them to auction if someone does not come get them now). We are doing our best in this flooded market to find homes for them, we are unable to keep them all, as we are at (over) capacity now, so we are askig any one and everyone if they will take in any of these horses.

If you are interested, we live in Southern Wisconsin (2 1/2 hours from Chicago), you can email me at Renegadecwgirl@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance,

Cyndi

Found out on Saturday that 2 of the broke horses are stallions, one of the unbroke horses is a stallion. These horses have all been running together in a pasture since last fall. Guaranteed that the 3 mares are bred for a 2009 foals. I am not going to be taking any of these horses, as I do not have a place for stallions, but we are still working on getting them out of the situation they are in. I do not know what is going to be asked for these horses (adoption fees), probably not very much, as they want to move them very quickly. The stallions will be gelded by the time they are adopted, nothing we can do about the mares being bred. I will try to keep anyone who is interested, up to date on the rescue/rehab and adoption of these horses.

Thanks for all your interest and patience.
