Can you send me an email to tia19652001@yahoo.com and I will cross post on Myspace? I will also send to my barn. You never know, someone out here may go for if shipping is helped. I wish I could take one now but I can't. I really want a draft cross baby but can't do it right now.

yes you are correct on the rescues location

If you would like to adopt one of the horses you will need to call Helen and let her know what one you would like.

Then she will have a volunteer go to the feedlot and remove the horse and put it on what is called a Safe farm.

At the safe farm the horse will have a FULL exam by a vet and have coggins done.

Once this is all done they wait for your payment and then ship the horse out with the next load going to your part of the country (there is usually 20 - 40 horses on one load and that is how you get the shipping so low).

PM me if you would like Helens Phone Number or Email Add

Thank You,
Danielle

I could be wrong, but I think draft's tails grow late.

Draft horses don't have full length tails as a rule.

That is a good point, County.
How about starting another Thread on that topic.
It is sad some people do the mark up.

To put it in here, when someone is trying to work at finding them homes before they are loaded on the truck is time and heart wrenching.
One doesn't need to hear other things.

I dont know
maybe they cut them off because it is so muddy or there may be a tail eater in there. I dont think it is a draft horse thing because my Percheron cross colt has a long & thick Beautiful tail.

The only way to reduce or eliminate the PMU foals is to eliminate the demand for Premarin, the drug made from Pregnant mare urine. If women would demand the sythetic drug instead of the horse urine one this would not be an issue. So, they go to slaughter, it is a nessasary evil.

Oh I agree totally about the drug need and some go to slaughter no doubt. And I have no problem with someone buying these colts or how they spend their money. I'm just thinking the guy has a great racket going here. Someone else sells some of his colts for over market price and he doesn't even need to advertise them. **** I'd try and get a bigger contract and breed even more.
