Did you adopt through United Pegasus Foundation?

The horses are located in Manitoba Canada

I also adopted one of the foals last year

Hey, no problem

I do know that one of the first posts made by the OP on this forum was trying to find homes for PMU horses in Canada so maybe wrongly presumed that these were more of the same sort of horse.

I must say I HAVE NO PROBLEM with people buying these horses or any other such horse. I have no problem with any person saving any sort of animal at all.
They all look so darn healthy, I wonder what the story or circumstance behind them is.

CHESTER
You were right!!! LOL

*I bought a foal last year and his shipping was only $350 to come down to North Carolina.

*And Country, From what I understand a horse can be slaughtered at 6 months of age!!! These horses are not baby's any more, They are yearling's and 2 year olds and being that it is already Sept. The most of the yearling's are probably at close to 1.5 years old.

ED..
They are above me.
If you want one.........

I beleive their foals off a PMU farm, like any livestock business they want nice healthy young stock anything else just doesn't sell well. The foals are more or less a by product of the PMU business the larger amount of money is made from urine sales to the drug companies that use it.

I never said these horses are cheap did I

BUT, that is what they are charging (NOT THE RESCUE) so there really is not anything you or I can do about it along with everybody else - Those prices are firm and I know that because like I said I adopted a foal last year and I found homes for like 30 horses but I still paid full price.

It is clear you have nothing to add to help these horses (THIS IS NOT A DEBATE) So I am kindly asking for you just to let it go. All I am doing is giving these horses a chance, If there is someone out there looking for a horse right now and has not come across one yet maybe they will here just as I did. I know I had been looking for a Percheron foal for some months but my husband did not like there size and when I came across Buckshot (the foal I adopted) It was amazing. Buckshot is truly my dream horse!!!

Like I said I am just trying to help these horses and if you cants do anything but post negativity on my THREADS then please just let it be and let me do what I need to to help these horses in peace.

Danielle

No... I adopted through SOS Rescue... they were in Canada.... I know the foundation you are talking about however... they are in Tehachapi right?...

How do we go about inquiring on these horses?.... When they ship, if they are removed from the feedlot once paid for... etc.

Let what go? I just find it strange someone is trying to stop the slaughter of these horses yet finds buyers for them way over market price. I would think the breeder will just keep breeding hes got a great setup to encourage it.
