I am glad I wasn't alone in feeling a little suspiscious about this post- and the title doesn't really match what she is saying. Dumped on your doorstep sounds like someone showed up with them, not offered them horses then they went to his place and decided to take them in.

Rescue is such an admirable thing, I appreciate those that do it. But there are lots of rescues in need of money and other donations...

What Chester said, plus............. I would not dream of doing anything to a newcomer as you suggest HHF - since they first need to learn the ropes around here and get a chance and we don't know for sure that its a scam.

OK, looks legit. The web link works now. Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands. The OP appears to be a young teenager.

Hope you find the help you need. Looks like you're doing a great job with the horses!!

i dont think its a scam anymore, just becasue of how the website is, and why would someone make up that to just get some money?? and plus we all have some spelling errors.
i had someone email me like min after i posted my mare for sale on some website, and it was a scam for money. long story but thats what it was.
so i was like, i really want to help them but is it a scam? so i think im going to get some people together and raise soem money and send it down

I found something odd on there site also.

We bought Bohemia in March 2006, shortly after moving in. She was born in 1995 and is ½ Spanish ½ Thoroughbred breed, dark bay in colour and stands at 15.6 hands (1.56m) high.

15.6 hh?? :O

After exploring their web site , this could be actually real. I to am not a great speller, but I do try to phrase correctly. My bad. Hope they get the help they need. Their horses are pretty.

A website is exactly that, a website. You can build one anytime for anything, regardless if it were real or not. I'm sorry, if you were a member that has been around a bit longer, not just a couple days, then I MIGHT be able to trust you slightly more. But you just joined and you're already asking for money? Just doesn't sound right to me.

I've been here a year now, and the ONLY time I honestly felt right giving money to a member was to BW when her gelding had gotten so severely sick that one of our other EXTREMELY trust worthy members started up a collection. But both of those members have been around a LONG time, and are upstanding citizens of the HGS Community.

If this is real, which if it is I'm sorry you have to deal with it, try holding a fundraiser in your area. Get your town involved, show them what's going no. If you show the truth to those around you, there are always people that are willing to help. Be it donations, fostering, volunteering, adoption even.
