I was the only one who could tell Thomas was off at all when he had his abcess. The vet found it with the hoof testers, but everyone thought I was crazy. My trainer told me I was nuts and I rode a lesson on him hours before it blew (it blew when the vet squeezed with the testers (ewww..). Poor baby, he never complained at all--man I love that horse.
