Horse Trailer Mats

I hope this is an okay place to put this question.

I just bought my (new to me) horse trailer. But the mats are old and I really want to replace them.

Where does everyone get new ones from? I looked online at the local trailer dealerships but none said they sold just mats (I haven't called though).

Any thoughts?

Any preferred brands?

How thick do they need to be?

I found some on Craigslist that are advertised as 3/4" thick horse stall mats, 4' x 6' for $36. Good deal or no? They are 1 1/2 hrs away so I am not sure the drive is worth while.

You don't need mats that thick for a trailer. They're usually thinner and a different dimension than stall mats, usually 7 feet, or fit to the width of your trailer.

They may not advertise that they sell mats, but I bet your trailer sales places do.

Also our feed and farm supply does.

I have Humane mats for both my trailer and barn stalls. They are a super company to work with.

We have a three horse diagonal trailer, and they custom cut the mats for us (we provided measurements) at no charge. They fit perfect.

Same for the stall mats. Give them a look at http://www.humanemfg.com/animal.html#trailers.

The horse trailer I have now came with mats but my old one didn't.
I didn't want to deal with the super heavy type mats I have down in my stalls so I settled on these.

Very light, but still cushy enough to get the job done.
