No. That was my case. In some cases I understand. Some horses are suffering from cancer or other life ending diseases. Some horses cannot go any longer. I am all for (in the human world) taking a feeding tube out and letting one die instead of continuing to agonize over whether Sally is happy as a vegetable or not (different topic, though). It is a personal choice of when to have the horse put down. I DID have the thoughts of going ahead and putting him to sleep, by which method it doesn't matter. But I did not, and figured if it was meant to be the end of his life, it would be taken. I did my best to make him comfortable, short of surgery, which was not feasible as he is a 35+ pony.

I have understood every point of view thus far and hope for the same respect.

And Barn Brat,my horse was bred to be a HUNTER and was started as a HUNTER. She has grown up in a family where they are hunting EVERY WEEKEND and is around the hounds all the time. She loved to hunt and she loved the hounds.

So unless you actually go hunting, which i'm gathering you don't seeing as you know absoutely nothing about it, you cannot judge the methods of sending the horse to the hounds or the process so just be quiet and stop being such a selfish attention seeker.

Lost ground or face here on HGS, because of what I believe in on this topic.
If so, it makes me sad and uneasy about this forum
you haven't lost face with me either.

I respect people MORE if they can come into the controvercial topics and DEBATE a good debate.

I don't judge people on their opinions on slaughter at ALL.

Unless they are being immature...then I just think they are immature....but I don't hold it against them

one thing you will find out about many of the "senior" members and coming senior members, is that we've all learned to keep what is said in ONE thread THERE. And those that haven't figured it out...do so eventually.

I have LITERALLY been screaming at one member here on one subject...and Laughing and joking at the SAME TIME in another thread. If you read both threads at the same time, it is HILARIOUS to think that I'm yelling and all flustered and irate literally seconds before I'm laughing and joking....just two different threads...

What happens in a thread, remains in the thread is my view.

I agree!

That's what a forum is. We all have different opinions on different things but we never hold it against one another.

Well said BW

I dont think any horse wuld be calm while just cause there owners are standing there watching there horse be killed, And besides, hunting is cruel itself if they use live bait, They dont do that here anymore, but they might in New Zealand..Honestly if you acutaly loved your horse, you wouldent watch it be shot like that..I would probably have a heart attack befor even leading my horse into the shoot, cause I actually CARE about my animals..And I know Im being offensive but I dont care. Down rate me all you want. I dont care if you think Im worhtless or childish...other people dont seem to get downrated because of their opinions after all, you just love your horse brains pop out eh? Please come on Im waiting down rate me again..Make it so I have a ed dot on my profile really come on Im waiting,
Who says we make a buck when the horse goes to the hounds? Last person I knew who did that, GAVE her horse to them. Didn't get paid for anything since the guy still had to have the horse processed.

And Brat..it isn't what is said that gets people upset about your statements, it is the WAY you say it. you belittle people in the process.

I dont' sit here and call you an Ignorant little spoild brat who hasn't seen the real world yet do I?

NO, because that is not right to do.

You however, keep throwing in jab after jab toward people who don't agree with your view of horses.
