Nope, won't chill out. You are degrading the very name of Goats, Pigs, and especially cattle, by saying it is OK to Captive bolt them, but not a horse.

And yes, there is reserched FACT that Pigs hold a higher intelligence to most of the livestock.

Plus, they are the CLOSEST animals to us. Both Anatomy and Psychological. Which is why they are the most widely used dissection animal in schools.

You have to remember, when you post something, people are going to read and react. Bringing their opinions, and such.

But the way you worded your post insults me and my foundations. I value a cow just as high as I value my horse.

BW posts with facts. All I have seen from you is emotion and criss crossed stories. Who's being immature?

Fact is, slaughter isn't the problem. Over breeding is. And unless that stops, slaughter can't be stopped. Stop slaughter, and horses will suffer MUCH more than they are in the slaughter house.

This is a highly UNRELIABLE web site. It's just as bad as PETA.

YES the site IS unreliable. They tell dozens of lies. I've been through it. They lie about MANY things, from slaughter, to rodeo. I have seen the videos. The horse's nerve endings still twitch and go off after they are bolted, but they are unconscious. They have read the brain signals of bolted animals before, and they are brain dead. I've seen slaughter often. We do our own cattle and I help load them and help quarter the carcasses.

if its brain is not working, than y did the horse dodge the bolt gun after it was shot three times in the head, the fourth time it dodged it, nerves would not do that, the brain does, the horse is still alive and moving!

You have to also realize that many of those videos are OLD footage before the legislation protecting horses was in effect. Also, they are often footage from other countries where they do not have the regulations. Which is where American horses WILL end up if slaughter is banned in the United States.
