Really a Rescue?

THE FISRT PICTURES IS WOODY THE SECOND PICTURE IS ONE OF ARE RESCUED MARES AND THE OTHER PICTURE ARE OF VARIOUS HORSES THAT ARE HEALTHY,FAT,AND VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF.

That is NOT healthy!!!!

Why are your horses not available for adoption?

Why do you need soo many supplies?

for example~
DIARRHEA CONTROL ITEMS

What?Like a diaper?

HEALTH RECORDS

get a vet!

SOMETHING IS A LITTLE OFF ABOUT THIS RESCUE.

I agree, something does seem off. Sorry that I am not a help.

Well, it looked to me like they were just showing example pics of fat healthy horses, not that those were pics of horses that they had. Though a couple were pics from a different page.

I didn't see anything completely off on their site.

That said, it does pay to research carefully, any rescue before donating.

I don't think they have the fat horse. (mini?)But they look less knowledgable when they post an obese horse and call it healthy.

^^ True, but for all you know that little pony/mini could very well be pregnant. In which case it looks very healthy. There's no way of knowing from that photo.

I just prefer NOT to assume anything. I ask first. So to me saying they're not knowledgeable or that something is off based on one photo is just not something I personally would do.

*sigh*

I am super tired of people coming on here asking for help and donations without anyone even knowing who they are or if they are legitimate. Sorry for the rant but it seems like every week (or couple of weeks) some unknown comes on asking for help, tack, money, etc.

I wish people would post a legitimate business name, business address (not just a website) and nonprofit number if they have it (I know there are legit. rescues that don't but if you do have it, post it).

I support rescues but would be much more likely to help someone I knew on HGS.
