i think horse racing and race horses are incredible, the speed, drive, stamina, and agility of top race horses...examples...Man O War, War Admiral, Seabiscuit, Ruffian, Secritariat, Northern Dancer, Etc, Etc.

I love watching horse races, i think it is so cool, sure there are accidents, but there are accidents in jumping, rodeo, barrel racing, heck there can be accidents with the horses out in the pasture...

I love horse races too, but I think the demands on the young horses are to high and damaging to them. I would like to see horses' careers start a year later. I mean this for all disciplines, like futuries in reining, cutting and everything else. A horse goes into training for all of these events way to early while their bodies are still gowing thru growing pains. It's a shame that it all comes down to money.

I guess The only thing that i absolutly hae and i can't stand it is how they ruin great horses by racing them too young. and i guess im only against it cuz of my horses injury from it but your right its true any horse can get an injury in any sport

Woot, i couldn't agree more.

Well here is my input on horse racing.

Yes, if the horses heart is 110% into

No, if they do not enjoy it.

Here is a story about my friends horse. His name is Fly Badger Fly and he won over 200,000 dollars (candian) and then one day his heart just wasnt in it so the trainer sold him......absoultly nothing wrong with him....just his heart wasnt in it so the trainer thought wats the point of racing.

Another horse, Western Jeff could set records upon records when he raced by him self. But when you put him in a race, He littlerary stopped in the middle of the track, grabbed the reins ( yea, acctually turned his head to one side and grabbed one side of them) and he would trot back to the barn .....like a nice hunter trot..... he just didnt like racing with other horses....so on the tack ....he was " no good" to them but he was perfectly sound and everything...he just didnt like racing as a group....

now if ppl had try and force those 2 guys to run.....lets just say the horses would be.....i dunno how you say this....but not trust worth...or ....lol i dunno... haha

but....yea lol.....

i love watching horse races, and i HATE how all we ever hear about horse racing is the bad stuff. sure we hear about good stuff, like the great horses, but i hate how a greater percentage is all bad talk towards racing.. i don't think its talked about nearly the same as it is in other disciplines.

I am obviously for it... but on that note, do not really think racing two year olds is good for the horse, or public opinion... it will never change, as long as there are big purses to be won, and the Triple Crown races are only open to three year olds... just part of the business.
