I know everything!

I know everything about horse racing! My dad is a jockey, and my best friends dad is a trainer. I don't really know where to begin. I'm Aussie, so I would be telling you about australian racing, is that okay?

Ask me anything, and i'll come up with an answer.

Obviously, the basics are, all proper race horses are Thoroughbreds - i can tell you heaps about thoroghbreds if you like.

I can tell you about the clothing, the style, the gear, the track, lol, everything! Just ask me!

Here is a picture of my thoroughbred. I've had him for 6 months, and he's been off the track for 5 months and 3 weeks! lol.

Proper racehorses are Thoroughbreds?

Perhaps you've forgotten about the harness racing industry. Not to mention to Arab and QH racing industries. As small as they are in Australia, they are still there.

No matter the breed and if they're galloping on flat, pulling a gig, or steeplechasing they're all being trained for the same thing. To race...and to win.

My friends horse cory goes faster than a TB anyday, he's a arab cross, and he keeps going and going and going....LOL

ok what type of racing in particular are you questioning?
TB racing or all racing in general. because that will get everyone clear on exactly what you need.
here are some TB racing sites:
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/horse/index
http://horseracing.about.com/
http://www.drf.com/
http://www.racing-index.com/

www.ustrotting.com is the united states standardbred web page, there is a great page on ownership.
Now, for more details, are you looking at training, expenses, rules, the sport in general what?
I have done standard and thoroughbred, and I got a friend who is just slightly nutters who has racing mules. So lots of horses lots of information just ask away!!
