Maybe I'm just really sleepy... but he doesn't look THAT awful. How old is he supposed to be?

Hmmm. A lot of people are saying he doesn't look that bad. What is the world coming to?! Is the equine industry so bad that this is 'okay'? God, I feel sorry for the ones that arn't 'okay'. I'm telling you. I just don't know how somebody could abuse an animal so fantastic as a horse.

He looks like he's got decent weight on him, a few more pounds wouldn't hurt. He just looks like he's lacking muscle tone, which, for an Arab (I'm just assuming that's what he is, he looks very Arab-ish) isn't very suprising. I do hope he finds a new home though with someone who knows how to ride a horse correctly.

If that is what you call "decent"...well...I don't even know what to say...I can not see how anyone could say he has "decent" weight on him...

Even fo an Arab, that is too skinny, you shouldn't be able to see ribs like that, arab or not... Arabs are more petite, yes, but bones should not be sticking out... Arabs have a natural lean look, but that is just neglect right there, just because he may not be on "deaths door" he is in no way at a healthy weight...

He needs some groceries, sure, but he's not emaciated or starving. Especially if he's young and growing, I wouldn't be HUGELY concerned. He's clean and doesn't look grossly neglected.

This world isn't "coming to" anything.

Ok, i agree with ya on that...

I still think that a horse that is getting the basic proper care shouldn't ever look like that, but i do agree that right now, he is not emaciated... But yes...he does need groceries...and hopefully his owner is going to be feeding him and trying to put weight on him... i hope he isn't in that condition due to lack of care on her part...

Giving her the benefit of the doubt...maybe he is actually a "rescue" who has been putting weight on gradually, I can only hope that he isn't going to stay in that condition as long as she owns him... as for her wanting $700, i don't see anyone buying him at that price anytime soon...

However being that she says she does gaming with him and he is in that condition, i highly doubt she "rescued" him... he is in no condition as of now to be doing any "hard" work under saddle...he's definatley not in any condition what so ever to be doing gaming of all things... poor fella...

If I can talk her down a bit in price, I may be taking in this guy, who will have plenty of groceries and be put back into shape before i ask any real work out of him...

he really isn't all that bad.. I think he could use a bit more weight.. Maybe my ASPCA is just bad but I don't think they will do much.. I have turned in a guy that many many times he has four horses that look terrible all EXTREMELY thin like 200-300lbs less weight then that guy and they have done NOTHING absolutely NOTHING.. so I'm not really sure how much could be done, he is a bit underweight but really not all that bad.. IMO

EDIT~ I read some of what is posted.. How long has she had him?? Do you know? I re-looked at the pictures he does look thin but still not that bad but he has been neglected at one point or another. How old is he?
