Horse named after a painter

My horse Eddie's show name is CR Franz Marc. He's a german horse, so I've always wondered what it meant. Well, I just found out that Franz Marc is a famous german artist who paints mostly animals, but in particular horses. This is the best website I could find about it. Franz Marc oil painting reproductions (once you get to the website, you have a scroll down a bit before you see the paintings). Just thought it was cool and wanted to share!!!
