When I saw the picture of him moving off in the arena, all four feet are at a different position. Sometimes that is a sign that the horse may be gaited. If so, you'll hear four distictive footfalls. 1-2-3-4 and usually some head bob with each. Many of the gaited breeds will also have a higher head carriage than traditional stock breeds. Hope this can help you figure him out.

Great job. For those of us that dont know, where and how did you come upon him? Is there a thread somewhere I should have read first?

Very nice horse. I haven't posted on the site for a while but your's is the first thread I'm commenting on. You've done a good job so far. When I first saw the pic of your horse I thought to myself 'That horse has got potential.' It looks like he's found someone to bring him along just right.

Finally I'm getting a moment to update this thread! I have new pics. It has now been 3 weeks and 2 days since Lucky arrived. Let me know how you all think he's coming along. Btw, please ignore the poo and mud stains, he was out in the turn out and decided to roll while everything was still damp lol I got some of it off but it's still a work in progress...bath time later today and I promise I'll post more pics then

It's amazing to me how much better he looks, I can see differences every day but he still seems so thin compared to everyone else, then I look at the first pics and I'm like WOW he's gotten fat LOL Still a long way to go but he's done great so far, picking up a lot faster than I thought he would and thankfully still a big sweetheart.
