![]() | Horse Fly Bites on Teats
My mare is getting tons of horse fly bites on her teats. Nothing I have tried so far will keep them away, sometimes I find over 10 biting her at a time. I hate seeing this! They bite her and they the drops of blood fall on her back white socks and so of course, she looks more miserable than she probably is! Any advice? I use Swat on the bites which seem to keep the horse and deer flies off for an hour or so but none of the many fly sprays I have tried will work. I am shocked on the amount of flies out here in the midwest! Anyone use fly blankets with success??

No, she is doing nothing but grazing and being a role model.
