Angry Horse Fights?!?!?!(pics.)

~I was not sure what to put this thread under, but here it is:

I was looking around at news photos and i came across these two:

and (click on them to see more)

I didn't think that they did this with horses!! It is like a spectator sport!! Did anyone else know that this was going on? Do they have to train them to fight like dogs or is there another method they use? I can't believet this!
(If this was a repeat thread, i m sry, but i just found this this morning.)

Sadly, another display of the sick humans in our world.
It would be nice if the location was available. Some animal rights activists may be able to help?
I'll do a search and see if I can find where the hanious sport is taking place.

Just did a search and found this at
http://www.equinewebdesign.com/horse...925080831.html
Here is a quote from it:

Just when you thought the collective IQ of a culture couldn't be any lower, the so-called sport of "horse fighting" has been exposed in the Phillippines, protected as a "cultural tradition".
"It was with great horror that we learned that in the Philippines, horses are routinely forced to fight for the enjoyment of spectators who crave blood and gore"-
excerpted from Free Willy producers urge govt. stop to horse fighting in RP

It also has where you can write legislation, but being oversees It might be tough to make an impact.

I have heard of this, it just like dog fighting and rooster (can't say other word) fighting. From what I have read they put 2 stallions and a mare (usually in heat) in a ring. Its a shame they are using a stallion's natural instinct to protect mare in heat for entertainment.
I imagine just like with dog and rooster, with the lower levels there is little training with the higher level fighters there are.

That is disgusting!! I can understand something like bull fighting, it may be cruel, but they then eat the meat, not partealy kill it and then let it heal up a bit before sending it into the ring again. And some of those people that wrote things on the petion were pretty sad too. Saying that they think its cool and thier just dumb animals??? What are people thinking!
