Group a friend invited me to join on facebook...have to say I had never heard of this before...has anyone else? Makes me feel sick.

In case anyone's wondering, or doesn't have facebook...it's a link about horse fighting in asian countries. Stallions are forced to fight, sometimes to the death, for the enjoyment of spectators. It's quite shocking.

Yea I heard of it. I think they do it for money & they think it is "fun to watch"

The have a mare in the ring & make the stallions fight.The winning Stud gets the mare.Also the owner of the stud gets the money.
I saw what I think was a documentary of it on youtube,it was sad & scary.

i joined.. thats a horrible "sport" sometimes i wonder what morbid being ever thought of such a thing.

I think it was the Ancient Romans the came up with animal fighting & I guess it went from there

This is so wrong. Fight fine, fight to the death is just too much for me. I understand that sometimes these are different cultures with different views and I respect them. But no way on earth would I ever do that to any of my horses.

I makes everyone look bad in the end. I have a dog, Pete, whose parents are imports from Central Asia. Back there they fight the males in the different villages to find the best dog to breed to. But, they DO NOT make the dogs kill each other. Rather the weaker or less dominant dog will submit and then it is game over. Neither dog dies. I have had dogs attack me on the trail and Pete (my bubba) will go after the dog and cause it to submit. He has never drawn blood. The breed is Ovcharka (think that's how you spell it)

For a center of the world where horses were revered companions it just goes to show human depravity.

I think it was Khan that risked some of his best men for a group of geldings stolen from a warriors family. FOR GELDINGS! They risked there own lives. Although, I bet the infiltration and rescue of tghe geldings was more like a training excercise for Khan.

IVE heard of horse fighting over in the Asian countries. its huge over there. 2 stallions and one mare. crazy! just like dog fighting
