I was watching a show, one of those "Most Shocking" things. They had video of this, it was horrific. How anyone can be entertained by such a "sport" is beyond me. I also heard it was big in many central Asian countries.

Thats disgusting. We should do that to those people. What I would give to chase after a person who has beaten a horse (of course I would be on my horse, with my longe whip!).

its purely culture, like the chinese grow up eating bugs and other yukky stuff we would not contemplate, children in those countries grow up thinking its the norm....

for me as much as I disagree with it, when my own back yard is clean and sorted then I might worry about what a country I have no control over is doing

Yes.

Its a part of their culture, just like bull fighting is for Spain. It cant be stopped, so as long as they dont use my horses for it, then thats fine by me. I personally wouldn't watch it, I just don't find that entertaining, but I guess some people do. There are lots of people in the US that fight dogs/roosters. I dont find that entertaining either.

^^ well it's not fine by me! I'm not saying that I have the power to stop it, but do I CONDONE it? No. It is SO far from fine. As any animal suffering needlessly should be.

Agree - we live in some sick, sad times, don't we?
