This is pretty of the lady and horse together, but do you think this horse looks like it has animosity, or not enjoying this?

No, not really.
I see a horse giving an amazing liberty performance.
If he did not want to perform he could simply leave the stage.
To me his experssion is that of any horse "herding".
The girl's performance consist of her appearing to try to escape from the gelding and he prevents her....and I find his expressions during the performance appropriate.
I do not see a horse that resents his work.

I just look at it this way....even animals have the ocassional "bad day"...just like humans do.
Some days people wake up and are not all that thrilled about doing something on that particular day.
That does not mean that they hate doing it.....they are just having an "off day".....I think that it is the same with animals.
On days like that we just go thru the motions....the job/task gets done but without our usual smiles and brillance.

Old chester horse would pull those faces too when playing with me. I know, me bad, playing with him.

He would never have hurt me, unless accidentally.

I have to admire anyone who can train a horse to perform like that.

I thought it was very interesting... can someone tell me why you would allow a stallion to chase you and strike out, not matter how choreographed it is? Wouldn't that lead to other undesirable behaviors, as I'm sure that horse, like any horse, can get wound up from time to time?

I think he's a gelding. Makes sense...he'd be easier to handle and less prone to get worked up and violent. Gosh I wonder how they DO that? How coopritive...it could just...not comply. I don't think he's violent, just playing. See the part where he lay down with her until she asked him to rise? He wouldn't have done that if he were angry or not having a good time.

Exactly. He has to trust her completely to lie down with her.
