yes, keep her walking it's easier to stop them rolling if you keep them walking. You're doing the right thing. Hope she's okay.

When you stop does she immediately try to go down? If so keep walking. If she will just stand there then go ahead and let her, there's no need to tucker her out if she's willing to stand still.

Have you run through all her vitals to see how she's doing?

With all of this I'm sure she'll be fine and try not to worry too much while waiting for the vet.

Thanks so much guys. I just hate wanting for the vet, because I'm always afraid of what they're going to say.

And sorry for the spelling errors, I was on my cell phone walking her and trying to type.

The vet just left- she should be fine. Her heart rate is normal. She's not wanting to lay down right now, but if she does I don't think she'd be thrashing around. I'll will check her through the night, but sounds like she will be okay, thank God. She is just happy to stand peacefully. And is on pain killers right now.

I'm sure at this point, the situation is resolved, and I hope it all turned out ok. Colic is a scary scary thing! But just speaking from experience, did the vet say how long the effects of the pain killers would last? Sometimes banamine and so on can mask a problem. They're all drugged up and look fine, but as soon as that wears off, they go right back to colic symptoms.

Hope she's fine though, glad it all worked out

the vet said it would wear off in about 4 hours, and she got it around 11 pm last night.

This morning she still seems fine- and she's acting fine. And she has mineral oil all over her. ,

Thank you.

glad to hear all is well ... you might try to wash the oil poo off sometimes it will cause them to loose the hair where it is sticking

If the mineral oil came out "the other end" LOL enough that you're noticing a mess, that should mean that there wasn't much of an obstruction, if any at all.

I had a mare oiled by a vet for colic once, and when he stopped in the next day to check on her and saw the oil mess, that was the comment he made. Saying that it was a very good sign that the oil passed right on through.

So, good for you and good for your horse. Colic is a symptom, not an illness in and of itself. Check this information out.
