He should get jail time, therapy and have to get a job and pay restitution.
Plus a good ol' butt whoopin probably wouldn't hurt either.
I totally agree but since he can't drive or legally hold a job if he's 14 or 15 (not in MS anyway) then he will pick up garbage &/or wash police cars. I think he should be ordered to get Psychiatric help as well.

That's just disgusting! Did the boy look like he felt guilt for killing the poor horse? This poor girl. I'm happy to know she isn't going to quit riding or horses. She must really have a strong passion for horses.

Really? I didn't know that you can't get a job, whats the age requirement there? In WI it's 14 with a work permit from your parents (unless it's an ag job and then it's as soon as you can push in the clutch)

It's 16 here unless you can prove hardship, then it's 14 with a permit from the parents and that takes some doing. For driving It's 16 for a learner's permit, 17 for a regular permit and 18 for a 4 year driver's license.

Wow, glad I live in wisconsin lol
Here you can get a learners permit at 15, and you can take a class to drive farm implements at 14 (some would argue that this technically includes grain trucks, but I'm not sure how that would shake out in a court battle...)

So many kids today never give a single thought to the irrisponsable things that they do.
I hope the little girl won't come away from this with fear for horses.
Personally if it were me, I wouldn't WANT the child anywhere near my horses after that incident. If he hates horses so much, as he reckons, having him around the stable working would be more hindrance than help and who knows what he might do to the horses if he really hated them that much!

OMG, the poor darling. A rather lovely looking horse too.

He honestly didn't look like he gave a **** that he killed a horse and scarred his sister, he had a smug smirk on his face as his mother yelled at him and his exact words were "I was just joking, it is just a STUPID horse," ugh...

Just think some people say to never spank your kids it abuse. I don't even know how I would react to something like that if that was my horse. Lets just say the kid wouldn't be sitting anytime soon and I would probly be in jail for it. I can't even phathom a punishment that would be fit for what he did. I hope he had some remorse if not world look out we have another potential serial killer

^ ugh, if it had been my horse there definitely would have been a beat down involved, fifteen is old enough to know better and anyways I'm a girl so it would have been ok right?
Kudos to you guys for not killing the kid...
I'm really sorry that this happened to you guys

My heart is just broken to bits Especially so for the poor little 7yr old girl who more than likely is severely traumatized by this. Beyond horrible
I'm glad the BO will be pressing charges, it's awful for the parents however as they will be the ones receiving the brunt of the punishment.
