So...you feel that the hoof wall should be level with or shorter than the sole plane?

We are disunited by our common language

When I read the quote: "The hoof wall should be level or just a tiny bit higher than the sole." I took the term "higher" to mean 'shorter' rather than 'taller'.
Thus, my reply.

So, to directly answer your question, No, I do not think the hoof wall should be shorter than the sole plane.

Ah, I kind of thought that might be the issue. But dismissed the thought. Your comment certainly had me scratching my head though.

Gotcha. I was picturing the hoof "upside down" rather than on the ground.

ETA: So would you agree or disagree with my statement, if I had written "taller than the sole" (or something along those lines)?

Up is down and down is up............ when the horse's hoof is picked up and you're looking at the sole, the hoofwall sticking out away from the sole is "vertical height from the sole". (Yes, I just made the term up. Maybe "longer than the sole" is a better bunch of words?)
