Smile Hoof Critique please (I want to hear all thoughts) *new photos post 15*

This is my 6 year old mares hoof and was hoping to here everyones thoughts on how her feet look (Good & Bad).
*What do you think could be better?
*I have the farrier coming out again in a couple of days (Should I ask him to do anything special)?
I hope to get some better pics tommorrow because these did not turn out the best (What view of her hooves should I get?).
Thank You everyone in advance for helping me keep lady as sound and comfortable as possible

You need to put picks of her whole legs from the front and side on also, so the angle of the hoof can be looked at also. There's honestly not much you can see from those photo's other than one of them the shape isn't uniform, and that they are clean... unless you really want to go into the technicalities of the size of white line, hoof, frog etc.

I've put a straight line through the midle off the foot, and if you were to fold the foot on this line the two sides won't line up straight on top of each other. But this could also be due to the angle of the photo as it is only slightly out, the peice that i've circled is where i think it's putting it out by that slight bit - i may be way off mark here as to truely see what the foot is doing you do have to look from the outside also. The circled bit also looks a bit rough/ or dry so its hollowed compared with the rest of the foot along this white line area. This is a really basic look at it and i would suggest not to take all of this as a given until i can see the whole hoof

What do you use this horse for? That would help to determine what might need to be done also.

How long since the last trim? How long has this farrier been trimming her? How long has she been barefoot? Is she sound? If so, over what surfaces?

There are some issues - heels a bit contracted (squeezed together) which is causing the crack in the back middle of her frog, and the circle that pippy drew is showing some minor flaring of the wall (pulling away from the inner structures, not desirable at all).

well right now she just sits in the field because I do not have a saddle to ride her with. If I did ride it would just be trails.

It has been about 1 week since the last trim, I have been using the same farrier for 6 years now but I do trim her myself every two weeks and the farrier comes out every couple months to look her over for me. a while back I gave her to a friend of my husband and I got her back because he was not taking care of her. N-E-Ways when I got her back she had horrible flares and is just now starting to look better. She had been barefoot her whole life besides the time that my husbands friend had her. She was pretty soft footed after I took the shoes off of her but is starting to harden back up (she is now able to walk on gavel without being sensitive). Do you have any advice as to help her get back to 100% ???

Thank You for posting
Danielle

The hoof appears from these photos to be quite shallow and flat soled. The heel area looks to have some issues as does the frog.

Other photos would help of course.

I don't see anything jumping out at me from these two photos going 'omg look how horrible that foot is, how can she walk?'. But that doesn't mean that there isn't room for improvement. And photos of the hoof on the ground will provide a clearer picture as well.

She is very flat soled How would you think I can fix the frog and heal problem? I will get more pics ASAP but is there anything you think I should mention to the farrier when he comes out? This is my only horse I have that is ridable (even though I have not been able to ride since Nov.) so her soundness is very important to me.
