Now that phrase was created for a reason! I have been house sitting my parent's house while they are on holiday, RV'ing down the Oregon coast. I grew up in this house, but it certainly does not feel like 'home' anylonger. It's been 15 years since I moved away, and boy have my folks turned granola! My mom was so sweet to stock the fridge/cupboards/pantry with things so we would not have to go on a major shop. Well... practically everything here is organic. And while I am not AGAINST organic, I do like certain things to actually have a taste to them.

Here we have bread that is fit for a squirrel, with all the nuts and oats falling out of every slice. Either that or the thick crusted German style loaf of bread that requires a hacksaw to slice it. Unsalted, unmixed peanut butter with all the oil sitting on top (yeck), pure apple juice, the unstrained brown kind (double yeck), non scented glycerine soaps and natural shampoos (my hair is a frizzy mess), no dryer sheets (static cling delux), the bed mattress is hard as ROCK (not joking) and a plain old standard keyboard - I miss my ergonomic keyboard!

I reaaaly am looking forward to being home tomorrow.

WELL i hope you get hoime soon to!!!! when i go to my grandparents home and i go on the comp it doesnt feel right.

sounds like my Mom's house! LOL especially the bread... plus my Mom is a vegetarian so there are tofu dogs, bocaburgers, tofurkey, some kind of crazy cheese that looks like american but tastes like caulk. The beds are comfy..but you need a telescope to see the little tv she has tucked away in the living room amoire...she says she never watches....
Just keep clicking your ruby red slippers together and chanting...
