Holiday...erm...crush?!?

Ok well I'll apologise now for this thread. I don't why you'd be interested, but I just need to get this off my chest.

I've just got back from Turkey (I'll probably post pics on a new thread soon) but the problem is I haven't been able to get someone off my mind!! I'm not sure if you'd call it a crush or not.

It was one of the entertainment team. I have no idea how old he was...around mid 20s to 30 (which is why it's also very wierd) and I think he has a girlfriend. But he didn't do a very good job of showing it...he would always come and ask me, or should I say tell me that I was doing the pool games and asked if I wanted to play beach volleyball and he was like "oh come on Rachel, I'll teach you how to play" and he held my hand. I didn't play though...and now I wished I had!!

He also asked me to go to a club. He said "others are going as well, but I want you to go with me". I didn't go though because my parents wouldn't let me. He also told my sister he really likes me and wondered if I really liked him. And then after that day I couldn't stop looking out for him and making sure I knew what he was doing so I could be close by. But when I was doing this, I'd also see him looking at me.

He could've just been having fun...but with everything he was doing, it was hard to tell!! I was dreading going home cos I knew I'd never ever see him again. And when that time finally came (at night we were at the disco) he came up to us and said bye and gave us all a hug and an air kiss. And it was just the way that he said "bye Rachel" and held my hand for a few more seconds that made it seem like he did like me?!?!

My mum even said when we were home that she thought he really liked me. And now my stomach is doing flips, I can't stop thinking about him, and I'm not hungry......I'm having to force a proper meal down me. I know...I'm just being stupid...he lives and works in Turkey, he's probably too old for me, and he probably has a girlfriend! But I really can't help how I feel!!

So anyway, any ideas of how I can get him off my mind or something?!?!? (even though what I really want to do is go back and see him again!!)

You know what? This is not stupid, its natural. This is what we all will go through some time or another in our lives. Heck, I went through tims numerous times! I fell in and out of love like nobody's business! Guess what, it all blows over eventually... you might disagree now, but later you will sit and think back and smile. BTW how old are you? Its ok if you don't want to answer... I understand.

He actually sounds a bit creepy to me (sorry!). But it is totally normal what you are feeling, just a little crush Don't worry about it!

It might have been the way I worded it all! He wasn't a creep and I wouldn't usually go for guys older than about 19. But he was different. He wasn't doing any of this in a creepy way, and as he was part of the staff he wouldn't have been some sort of stalker or something. He wasn't like that...he was sweet, cute and really funny!

Oh, I agree with this... He's an adult, you are not, that makes it creepy .

Don't worry that feeling will go away. It's not so much a 'crush', not a true one anyways, but that want of the feeling of someone really liking you. That flattered feeling, it's nice, but it goes away.

I agree- if he was in his 20s or 30s and flirting with a 16 year old that is at least a little wrong.

I think this is a true crush, but you aren't in love with him (you said: "And it's not very easy for me to fall out of love....I've tried before") ... trust me .

I'm sure you'll meet a guy around your age who you like and he will take your mind off things- it may take a little while but I'm sure he will be worth it!
