She probably will foal before moondust! I am STILL waiting. Were almost at 10 days overdue! I will be calling the vet to come check her out if she hasn't foaled by thursday.

Moondust it is perfectly normal for mares to go over their "due date". Its not like with a human the horses will foal when they are good and ready. For some it means long sleepless nights checking on the mares every hour on the hour or some get luck and foal around their "due date"

Thanks, I know that. I've even read up to 20 days late is within the normal range for mares, but I do want them to check anyhow, just to be sure that everything is proceeding normally, and that the foal isn't in the wrong position or anything.
