| Senior Member+ | I am not great at plaiting but I always seperate the mane into even spaced "bunches" - 11 on my TB and 13 on my ID - first. I use hair gel and plait as tight as possible then band and roll (fold in half then again) and finally sew in. I use hairspray to tidy up the little stray bits. Sewing in is a bit more difficult than just banding but it does keep the braids in neater I think A tip is not to plait a really clean mane - wash a few days before - soft silky manes are a nightmare! Slightly dirty sticky manes plait up much better - lol |
