| Senior Member | Help!Qh that we think is a Quarab hi This spring my sister bought a grade qh mare. She looks a bit arabian sometimes. When she is trotting, she arches or neck and holds her tail high like an arab. Her head is also a bit dished. I will post pics soon. Do you think she could be dna tested to find if she has an arabian parent? Is there a way we can register her if she is quarab(pure arabianXQH) is she is a qh is there a way we can register her by proving it with dna?(shes is in foal{was left with to studs b4 we bought her}) |

| Senior Member+ | Unless you know exactly who the sire and dam is there is no way you will be able to get this horse registered with the Arabian Horse Association as a Half Arabian. Many horses that do not have Arabian breeding flag their tails, arch their necks and look "araby" when running/playing free. Many breeds also have individuals who have heads that look Arabian as well. The horse could be of Morgan as well as pure Quarter Horse breeding. How a horse looks, as well as acts, is not a reliable way to tell what breed a they are or might be a part of. You can guess and assume but you could also be way off. Unless you happen to locate the breeder you will never know for sure.

| Senior Member+ | very true there is a morgan mare at our barn that looks like an arab with the dished faced.... think about it this way just about every breed has arab in them, certian traits could be throw backs

| Senior Member+ | I see all QH!!!!!!!!!! the white on her face emphasizes the very slight dish she has. Her croup angle is not right for a arab at all, not even a half arab, or a 1/4 arab.......her bone struckture in her croup, loin, hip are QH not arab

| Senior Member+ | She could be quarab, but in all reality, unless you know her dam and sire, you won't ever fine out for sure..

| Senior Member+ | I see nicely refine QH.... but she could have some arab blood, you'd never really know unless you knew who her parents were.
