Ansata Ibn Halima was one of the greatest stallions of his day. He basically launched Ansata Arabians which produced some OUTSTANDINGLY Beautiful horses back in the day.

Nazeer, his sire was indeed a terrific producer.

Besides Ansata Ibn Halima, Ramses Fayek was/is very prized by the Egyptian line breeding fans. Again, produced great beauty. Hallanay Mistany was another extremely well know sire who produced some very outstanding offspring.

I have always loved Morafic get adn Count Dorsaz was a VERY influental sire in Bazy Tankersly's foundation breeding program.

Your mare is primarily Egyptian Arabian lines with a bit of Domestic (Crabbet breeding primarily) thrown in. SOME people would love her lines. I personally am more of a fan of the Polish/Domestic breeding, but the Egyptian lines you are working with are not too hot and are known for 'pretty' .

You can Just keep in mind, there seems to be a bigger Polish/Domestic market then Egyptian market for various reasons, but the 1/2 QH/ 1/2 Arab Market is decent if the horse is well trained in something!

thanks! what do you think the price range is for a horse with her breeding that is trained in a discipline? What if she's an all around trained horse? What would the market be if she's not trained? Right now she's just greenbroke, need to get riding her pretty soon.~Brittany

Boy off the top of my head with out seeing her in person etc and with no show record, etc, probably not much over $1,000-$1,500 honestly. IT DOES depend on where you live of course, but with the market as soft as it currently is, most people are happy to get anything over $1K.

$1500 sounds great to me! I only paid $600 for her! lol! I have her up for $2000obo and was thinking I'd come down to $1500 once she's saddle broke. But I do plan on showing her next year if I still have her, and I'm sure her price will go up because I know she'll do well in the local circuit. thanks!~Brittany

I don't know Brit. One of the horses at Hillmar (my Equestrian teams hunter and jumper barn) looks just like her (arab cross and blood bay color) and would probably go for 7k+. I think that if we market, train, and show her correctly, we could probably get at least 4.5k+ (hopefully) for her. I'll check out what other arab crosses are going for in Stablemates if I can remember.

I have a wonderfully bred older polish mare who is a kids horse that has been for sale since last year for 500 that no one wants. so keep in mind it is all where you live.

I know, Lauren, but I'm in a tight spot right now and do not have the room or means to keep her for another year. my needs took precidence (sp?) over my wants and I just have to sell her. I've got some big bills that aren't going away. lol. If you want her, I'll sell her to you for what I paid and you can turn her around for next season if you want. (yeah...let THAT go over with daddy...hahahaha!) I just need the cash and don't have the room.~Brittany

As a long term endurance rider, the Arab side makes me DROOL!! Very familiar with most of those lines on the endurance circuit...WONDERFUL performing lines! Dang...I want the horse myself. LOL
