How tall is she? Unless she is TALL hunter just does not work in the show pen! LOL Once again I can only speak for the quarter side... Is there hunt seat and hunter over fences in Arabs?

Actually, Workin Cow Horse and Reining classes are getting pretty big in the arab world. Not to mention, they're breeding 'em bigger and bigger. One of our horses, CA Winston, is a PB gelding fills out every centimeter of his 16 hands.

There's hunter pleasure (equivalent to HUS) and working hunter, but you typically don't find working hunter at the "smaller big shows" on the arab circuit. Also, my 14.1hh PB mare does just fine in the hunter ring.

And as GlimmerofGold said, the Jibbah is the bump between the eyes which help create the dished face appearance.

If she is under 14.2hh she can be shown as a pony in regular Hunter Jumper shows.

we were actually hoping she'd stay at 14.2hh so she COULD do the pony classes. Medium and large sized ponies are hot commodities around here, and go for quite a pretty penny in the show ring.~Brit

Can't help with the Arab lines.

Quarter horse lines reads like a who's who of the quarter horse world.

Goldseeker Bars.......
H-35/P-21
Supreme Champion (1973 Open),
AQHA Champion (1965 Open),
ROM Performance (1968 Open),
Race ROM (1964),
Race Money-earner.
4X Grand Champion, 35 Halter pts,
10 cutting pts,
11 western pleasure pts,
Speed Index of 95.

He sired a Supreme Champion, not to mention multiple point earners and producers. Well known for his producing daughters.

The Supreme Report - Where Do AQHA Open Supreme Champions Come From?

Lady Fairfax produced not one but TWO Supreme Champions.

Leo...... is the leading broodmare sire of AQHA Supremes (7).

Anyway.... check out the link. The breeding in that pedigree is there.

Not just halter and race bred. All around bred.

Ah then you're not seeing many good working Arabians There is a HUGE Cattle Ranch in Nebraska, I have to go try to find their link, they ranch 100% wtih Arabians and do TONS of roping off their horses There's a ranch here in WA state that is an Angus spread that also uses 100% PB Arabians to do their work with, They use Primarily Polish bred lines.

There is also a PB Arabian ridden by one of the top Headers in this area as well He's (the gelding not the roper, LOL) is a Domestic bred horse. Also Bazy Tanskerly and Sheila Varian have used Purebred Arabians for their cattle ranch work in years past, I know Sheila STILL works even her top show mounts today on cattle . As far as haltering, the QH Halter world is it's one entity that's for sure, but you don't see too many halter bred QH's out working stock either as they tend to be less flexible and agile, more tankish and I'd hope to NEVER see an Arabian that would do well in QH Halter, LOLOLOL.
