The "sad" part is right. It's cheap, don't bother. You will regret buying it. WIth saddles and tack, if it's cheap, it's made cheaply. Quality costs more to make, a good saddle will be more expensive. Anything new under $400-500 is not worth your time.

I vote: BAD.
When a saddle looks like plastic, you know it won't be fun.
Cheapy saddles like that may be good on your budget, but they won't be good on your form, your horses back, your rear, anything. They will never break in either.

As much as we'd all like to save money, it'd be better to save money in the long run by buying a lil more pricey saddle and getting quality,,,rather than paying less and getting junk.

There is also currently a thread on cheap tack,,,you may want to hunt that down and read it. Its about safety.

Stateline Tack has a kincaide close contact that I've looked at in the stores...its not too bad and I think they're between 2 and 300 bucks.

Sometimes, if you know a good brand, you can find a well used one on ebay for a good price. Just be careful there (thats where I learned first hand how you get what you paid for).
You could try consignment tack shops too...and sometimes here on HGS there is a decent english saddle for sale too.

I personally don't like Kincaid saddles. They are still pretty cheap and uncomfortable.

Some synthetic saddles are pretty nice - Thoroughgood, Wintec to name a few of the better. They generally run from about $300-500. The cheapest that you will probably spend on a good quality saddle is about $700.
But, used saddles can be good, usually around $300-500 for a well-made saddle that was orginally $2000. You just have to look around and find good deals. Just remember that cheaper saddles are not worth your money, even if they are new.

The lump where the billets hang suggest to me it doesnt have recessed stirrup bars. On that feature alone Id pass it by.... buckle-bump can give a very painful bruise.
