Arms out, touch nose, right hand to left knee (visa versa), touch toes, touch poll, etc. What you have them do is limited only by the age/ability, horse they're on, and your imagination. "20 Questions" can be used to teach a lot of 'stuff'. "Musical Spots" - sort of like musical chairs but they go a a spot and then a 'something' is flipped and the number/letter is out. No reason to try to hurry to any place as until the 'flip' is done there is no way to know who is out. (Can be 'fudged' if one particular child never seems to 'win' anything) "Spoon Race" - a spoon is given to each and then a ping pong ball put on it and the winner is the one who keeps the ball on the spoon the longest. (Helps balance) Give each child a leather thong and give beads for each child every week/lesson and a bead for the 'winner' of each game and the end of the month the beads are turned in for 'something' - a picture of their favorite horse, again imagination rules - for start giving out again for the next month. |

Those are some great suggestions. Red light green light is also a great game to play with little kids... you never really LOSE, you just keep having to start over! There's another game where you put a piece of paper under the child's knee to see how long they can keep it there without it dropping.
