Wow. An hour and ten minutes from posting labor or colic symptoms to posting that you lost her and the foal! That happened so fast? What happened?

I am so sorry for your loss, I know what its like to lose a horse.

Unfortinatly I am not for sure what happened. She acted as if she was in labor i left her alone to do that because she didnt have anything comming out the back of her. I checked her a few minutes later and she had passed. She had some liquide that i thought was her water also she had a yellowish discharge. I am so sad right now i cant think straight.

I'm very sorry to read this... How long was the mare showing signs of distress before you were able to call the vet and/or post on here? Or did you just go out to check on her and find her in distress so were unable to determine how long she'd been 'down'?

How very disappointing and sad for you to loose not only your foal but more importantly your poor mare, I would be stunned if I were in your shoes too.

Let us know what the vet has to say after they've had an opportunity to check her out incase there is something valuable that we can all learn from this very sad situation.
