Question Help a color beginner...what color stallion would produce palomino?

I am thinking of getting this 5 year old QH mare (Sorrel). now, IF I was to breed her, is there a way I could get a black or palomino colt? Or roan or buckskin. Just anything other than bay, sorrel, or grey.
her pedigree is as follows:
sire: Leo Merada (dark sorrel/liver chestnut)
dam: Sheza Instant Replay (sorrel)
paternal grandsire: Freckles Merada (sorrel)
paternal granddam: Hickorys Leo Girl (sorrel)
Maternal grandsire: SR Instant Replay (bay)
maternal granddam: Fives Freckles (?)
her registered name is stylish Replay.

You can breed her to a Perlino or Cremello to get a dilute foal.

As for a black or another color... it's a toss of the dice. Never a guarantee in predicting a foal's color.

Sorry, what's a "dilute foal"?

There is also smoky cream as a double dilute that will also get you a dilute foal. Cremello to chestnut is 100% palomino foals.

To get a black may be impossible with your mare or there may be a way to get it 100% of the time when breed to a specific stallion. It depends on you mares agouti status, whether she is aa, Aa, or AA. To find that out you would need to test her.

To get a roan you would need to breed her to a homozygous roan to guarantee a roan foal.

A dilute foal is a palomino, buckskin, or smoky black. A double dilute foal is a cremello perlino or smoky cream.

What is an agouti status?

Agouti is the gene that changes a black horse from black to bay. It has no effect on a chestnut.

Just be carefull when looking at cremello stallions because some people think if its a double dilute its always a cremello and thats not the case.

Why impossible? With a homozygous black stallion she would have a good chance, depending on her agouti status of course. I think I understand what you said, but I think the OP could take it the wrong way.
