![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Some classic exercises for bringing the horse's back up to meet the saddle, as in flexing the muscles to strengthen the top line, are stretchy circles. Also free walk (head long and low) gradually taking contact and working 'deep'. If you rub vigorously under the belly at the girth area the horse's natural response is to flex and raise the back muscles. |

| Senior Moderator | Lunging with side reins, is great for the back, but if you horse is not used to having a tucked head, then put them on fairly loose, then tighen them over the course of a few weeks to prevent making the horse sore. |
