    Heads up

I wasnt sure where to post this, either here or in health or grooming.. I decided here was best.

I have a friend who lives in a boarder state, along the Mexico boarder. And her area does have some of those *killer bee's* Anyhow, she hasnt had to much trouble over the past few years, until the past two weeks..

Her and her horse have been attacked and bee keepers had to come in.

Now it isnt proven, however I wanted to give you guys a heads up just in case, to be on the safe side.

She uses RepelX fly repellant.. Normally she uses it in the morning. However on vet calls or farrier calls, she will spray her horse, to keep them more comfortable.
This spraying in the heat of the day, brings the bees full on.
Not in the morning or evening when the bees are sleeping in the cool.. The bee keepers told her that they think, think there is a pherimone (sp) that is similar to the one emitted by the bees when they sting, thus the attacks..
Anyhow, she did send the info to RepelX and they refered her to Pharnum..
She cant prove any of this, she knows, but we both wanted to tell ya, just to be on the safe side..
Those killer bees are spooky lil buggers..

If anyone else has heard of this, could ya let me know, so I can tell her, and she doesnt think she is being a odd duck.. Plus she could let the bee keepers know.
Wouldnt be the first time something has crossed wires with nature.. Just wish it wasnt those bees.. *cringes*

Does it have Citronella? Last summer, they were blaming the Citronella in the sprays for attracting the bees around.
Nothing like seeing nature from the back of a horse!
